Privacy Policy

ResellGenie is operated by AsanaThreads LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use the ResellGenie mobile app or website, how it is used, when third-party providers may process it, and the choices available to you.

Information ResellGenie may process

• Search information: item names, brands, model numbers, condition selections, filters, barcode values, and other search terms you enter.
• Photos you choose to submit: images used for item identification or visual matching.
• Saved research: saved finds, search history, or related research data when you choose to save it. Some saved information may be stored locally on your device.
• Purchase and subscription status: information needed to determine access to paid features. Apple processes App Store payments; ResellGenie does not receive your full payment-card number from Apple.
• Support and feedback: information you voluntarily provide when requesting support, reporting a problem, or submitting feedback.
• Technical information: limited network, request, security, error, or diagnostic information may be processed by hosting and infrastructure providers when necessary to operate and secure the service.

How information is collected

Information is collected when you enter a search, scan a barcode, take or select a photo, save a find, use a paid feature, submit feedback, contact support, or otherwise interact with the app. Some technical information is generated automatically when the app communicates with its backend services.

How information is used

We use information only as reasonably necessary to provide and improve ResellGenie, including to identify products, find marketplace listings and comparable sales, calculate resale-research metrics, provide saved-find features, verify subscription access, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, provide support, and maintain service security and reliability.

Photos and image identification

When you use image search, the photo you submit may be transmitted to ResellGenie backend services and to an image-identification or visual-matching provider so the requested search can be completed. Photos are used for the feature you requested and are not sold or used by ResellGenie for advertising. ResellGenie does not use submitted photos to build its own general-purpose facial-recognition database or advertising profile. Avoid submitting images containing sensitive personal information that is unrelated to the item you are researching.

Marketplace and service providers

ResellGenie relies on third-party providers for functions such as cloud hosting, image identification, marketplace data, subscriptions, and infrastructure. Search terms, photos, barcode values, or technical request information may be transmitted to these providers only when needed to perform the feature you requested or operate the service. Third-party providers are expected to handle information under their own contractual and privacy obligations with protections appropriate to the service they provide.

What ResellGenie does not do

Data retention

We aim to retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and support legitimate business operations. Data stored locally on your device may be removed when you delete saved content or uninstall the app. Third-party providers may maintain limited records according to their own retention obligations.

Deletion and privacy choices

You may delete locally saved finds from the app where that functionality is available and may stop using camera, photo-library, or other optional permissions through iOS Settings. You may also submit a privacy request through the Support page or email ResellGenieApp@gmail.com to ask about access, correction, or deletion of information associated with you. If ResellGenie offers account creation, any account-deletion functionality will be provided in accordance with applicable App Store requirements and law.

Permissions

Camera and photo-library access are used only when you choose features that require them, such as taking or selecting an item photo. Barcode scanning uses the camera when you choose that feature. You can revoke device permissions at any time in iOS Settings, although the related feature may stop working.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information handled by the service. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, and users should avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive information.

Children

ResellGenie is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13.

International users

Service providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate. By using ResellGenie, information may therefore be processed outside your state, province, or country, subject to applicable law and provider safeguards.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when ResellGenie features, providers, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date will be revised when this policy is updated.
